Amgen's Nplate (romiplostim) has been approved by the European Commission for refractory chronic immune (idiopathic) thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) .
The exact indication is for the treatment of splenectomised adult ITP patients who are refractory to other treatments (eg, corticosteroids, immunoglobulins)....
