Brazil could issue compulsory licences on US drugs in wake of cotton dispute

Brazil has drafted new legislation that would allow it to issue compulsory licenses on medicines, following a World Trade Organization dispute over cotton subsidies.
The dispute began in 2002, when Brazil complained to the WTO that the US was breaking international trade laws with large subsidies...
