Eisai fails to get US paediatric exclusivity for Aricept

Eisai has failed to get approval for an important US paediatric use extension for its Alzheimer's disease therapy and top product Aricept (donepezil). The decision means US exclusivity for the drug now looks set to expire in November 2010 as scheduled.
