Evotec to close US operations and lay off 45 staff

Evotec is to close its US operations immediately, just a year after acquiring the US company Renovis for $151.8 million, to save around €10 million annually from 2010. Consequently, the German company will lay off 45 staff, reducing its total workforce to around 330.
