Pharmacy sector drives Japanese market growth in first quarter

Japan's prescription pharmaceutical market grew by 3% to ¥8,368.6 billion ($85.56 billion) at reimbursement prices in the year to March 31st, with Eisai's Alzheimer's disease therapy Aricept (donepezil) emerging as the fastest-growing major product in the period.
