Australian thalidomide victims receive A$50 million compensation

Victims from Australia and New Zealand of the birth-defect drug thalidomide have reached an agreement with UK beverage firm Diageo which will see it give out A$50 million in compensation.
Diageo took over Distillers Company which had been the distributor of the drug in Australia in the 1960s....
