Women taking the anti-epileptic valproate (Sanofi-Aventis's Depakote and generics) bear children whose verbal IQ is 10 points lower than average, and are up to six times more likely to have a congenital malformation, according to a study recently presented at the American Academy of Neurology (AAN)...
