FDA grants label extension for Lilly's Forteo

The US FDA has approved a label extension for Lilly's injectable parathyroid hormone agonist Forteo (teriparatide (rDNA origin) injection) to include the treatment of osteoporosis associated with sustained systemic glucocorticoid therapy in men and women with a high risk of fracture.
