GlaxoSmithKline is hoping to expand the indication of Tykerb/Tyverb (lapatinib) to treat first-line metastatic breast cancer, submitting filings in both the US and the EU for patients with hormone-sensitive disease.

Lapatinib, a small molecule inhibitor of HER2 and EGFR, is so far approved...
