US FDA approves Abilify for irritability in autistic children

The US FDA has approved Otsuka Pharmaceutical/ Bristol-Myers Squibb's Abilify (aripiprazole) for the treatment of irritability in patients aged six to 17 years with autism.

The 5-HT2A and dopamine D2 antagonist is already approved in the US for treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder...
