Astellas has submitted an approval application in Japan for gabapentin enacarbil (ASP8825) for the treatment of restless legs syndrome (RLS).

The filing triggers a $5 million milestone payment to the Japanese firm's licensor, XenoPort, under the terms of the companies' 2005 agreement. This...
