Former Schering-Plough CEO Fred Hassan has been appointed chairman of the eye-care specialists Bausch & Lomb.

The appointment appears to have been planned well in advance as Mr Hassan was appointed to Bausch & Lomb's board of directors in November and became a senior advisor...
